Fr. Ray, ordained a priest in 1988 for the Archdiocese of San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines. In 1997, he migrated to the United States to minister to the Filipinos in the Archdiocese of San Francisco, CA. He served as an associate pastor of St. Patrick’s in San Francisco and St. Isabella’s in Marin. In 2006, he was incardinated to the presbyterate of the Archdiocese of San Francisco while serving as Pastor of St. Anne of the Sunset. He was a presenter at various Charismatic Renewal Conventions and had the opportunity to begin his theological studies in the Franciscan School of Theology in Berkeley, CA. His rich pastoral experience makes his preaching on God’s Word more relevant in the daily lives of his parishioners.

4-12 Hearing and Proclaiming God’s Word with Faith: Becoming What We Read and Hear
Many Catholics are still criticized for their inadequate appreciation and understanding of the Sacred Scripture. There is a need to entice them to grow in their desire to read, hear and proclaim God’s Word with Faith. Besides, the Church always holds the veneration of the Lord’s presence not just in the Eucharist but also through its preaching on the Sacred Scripture. The talk will present some invitations and pastoral approaches in the ministry to God’s Word that transforms lives.
