Rev. Ricky Manalo, CSP, is a member of the Missionary Society of St. Paul (The Paulists) and a liturgical composer for Oregon Catholic Press. He is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and the Washington Theological Union. His writings focus on pastoral music, liturgy, and inter-cultural ministry. He is a member of the North American Academy of Liturgy, a board member of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM), and an advisor to the U.S. Bishops’ Secretariate on Cultural Diversity in the Church. Currently he is a doctoral candidate at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA, and an adjunct professor at Santa Clara University and the Jesuit School of Theology. He resides at Old St. Mary’s Cathedral, Chinatown, San Francisco.
