WORKSHOPS1-06 Breaking Open the Word Our children need to hear the Gospel, but how do encourage them to listen? The workshop will focus on ways we can share the good news and help our children in catechetical programs to encounter Christ. As catechist we need to tell the story in ways it can be heard. We need to breathe life into the Gospels so our children see their relevance in their world today.
6-05 Catechesis for all God’s Children: Faith Formation with children with special needs This workshop will focus on providing catechetical instruction for children with disabilities. No child should be turned away because they do not fit the mold. The old saying “where there is a will there is a way” applies to those of us that are willing to adapt our programs so no child is turned away. Together we will look at various strategies for welcoming all God’s children.
