John Burland

john burlandJohn Burland is an Educator and Composer who has been writing and recording religious music for children and adults for over twenty years. He is currently the Project Officer-Liturgy/ Music for the Catholic Education Office in Sydney, Australia, and a workshop presenter, composer, and touring musician for Our Sunday Visitor Curriculum Division, in the North America. He lives in Sydney, Australia with his wife and two daughters who are actively involved in his music ministry.

As religious educators, how can we use the power of song to enrich our children’s journey in faith? This workshop will demonstrate how song and movement can be incorporated into religious education as effective teaching and learning tools. A variety of catechetical themes will be addressed during this session. Come ready to participate in songs and activities that will energize and engage your students as they journey in faith.
